Call for Good Practices of Research and Technology Infrastructures

The European Strategy on Research and Technology Infrastructures calls for improving the access to Research and Technology infrastructures for industrial users. To accelerate and support this, the European Commission is launching an outreach campaign to increase the visibility of infrastructure services, facilitate peer-learning and provide networking opportunities.

Call for good practices: Share what works

To kick-off the outreach campaign, the European Commission invites infrastructure hosts and operators to share examples of good practices that improve access to research and technology infrastructures for industrial actors, especially SMEs, startups or scaleups.

The call invites submissions showcasing how you:

  • increase the visibility and availability of your services for industrial users, in particular SMEs, startups and scaleups
  • ensure transparency and quality of your services
  • provide simple contract and agreement procedures, facilitating efficient and predictable access for industrial users
  • manage intellectual property safely, including protection of trade secrets and clarity on ownership and use rights
  • offer tailored support to SMEs, startups or scaleups
  • cooperate between other infrastructures or service providers, fostering an interoperable service ecosystem for industrial actors
  • have a business model or funding scheme that sustainably supports collaboration with industrial users, pools public and private funds or otherwise ensures long-term financial viability for infrastructure
  • otherwise provide access or services for industrial actors, fostering an innovation friendly environment
