On October 21, 2024, the NCP-IP women's network meeting took place at the Institute for Science and Technology Austria (ISTA). The event began with a joint lunch that offered space for informal networking. Representatives from XISTA then gave insights into questions of intellectual property and knowledge valorisation, which were discussed using case studies. Examples included the presentation of the ISTA spin-off Syntropic Medical by Alessandro Venturino and a conversation with Sandra Siegert about her experiences as an innovator and founder. Magdalena Steinrück from VISTA Science Experiences offered an exciting insight into science communication as part of supporting the next generation of scientists and innovators. Finally, the participants explored the ISTA campus on a guided tour. The event was held in English and enabled intensive exchange in an inspiring environment. A successful afternoon for everyone involved!
